Artist Bio and Statement:
This show includes both representational and abstract watercolors, which I painted over the last few years. The paintings in this selection share a calm state of mind, with attention to the strong formal qualities of shape, composition and color.

I grew up in San Jose, California, drawing and painting at an early age. In 1975, I attended the San Francisco Academy of Art and continued art and humanity studies at Lone Mountain College and San Francisco State University, then earning a B.A. at UC Santa Barbara in 1980.
In 1979, I began selling my paintings at outdoor art shows like Mill Valley Art Festival, the Santa Barbara Sunday art show and Beverly Hills’ Affaire in the Gardens. I continued showing at many outdoor art shows as well as galleries and public spaces for 40 years. I have lived in Cambria since 1992.
